Johnson Controls honors top performing ABCS contractors

MILWAUKEE - Johnson Controls, Inc. recently honored its top performing Authorized Building Controls Specialist (ABCS) contractors at a national sales conference in La Jolla, Calif. The contractors were honored for their exceptional sales performance over the previous year, measured as a combination of sales volume, percent of sales to plan, market share in focus markets, secured targeted business and annual growth. Brad Bekos, ABCS Program Manager for Johnson Controls, presented the 2000 ABCS of the Year Award to Acucon Inc. of San Jose, Calif. Acucon was recognized for having the largest combined score of sales volume, percentage growth over the previous year and percent of sales to plan. Several companies were also honored with 2000 Spotlight Awards for their outstanding performance and consistent industry leadership. These companies included CPC Technologies, Inc. of Burlingame, Calif.; Design Controls, Inc. of Oakland Park, Fla.; Electronic Control Systems, Inc. of Poway Calif.; Quality Building Controls, Inc. of Tampa, Fla.; Triangle Automated Controls, Inc. of Raleigh, N.C.; and SysControls of Caracas, Venezuela. ABCSs are contracted channel partners with Johnson Controls, primarily providing customers with turnkey building automation systems installations. Each ABCS has distinguished itself as an independent controls contractor with proven technical ability and unique strength in its respective markets. By partnering with ABCSs, Johnson Controls increases its ability to respond to the diversity of customer needs while strengthening its market coverage in the building systems industry.
