SMACNA installed new officers and directors, and said goodbye to old ones at a Oct. 27 ceremony during its 61st annual convention.
Kentucky contractor Kevin Harpring of Harpring Inc. was named 2005 association president. Harpring said he wanted to "position our members as the most knowledgeable experts in the industry."
In his speech, outgoing President Mark Watson of Climate Engineers expressed optimism for 2005.
"I think the key to survival and success in business is your ability to adapt and change. Continually challenge your organization to become better," Watson said.
The other New members of SMACNA's executive committee are: President-elect Keith Wilson of Miller Bonded Inc. in Albuquerque, N.M.; Secretary/treasurer Richard J. Cramer Sr. of Dee Cramer Inc. in Holly, Mich.; and Vice President Ronald Palmerick of Aabco Sheet Metal Co. in Brooklyn, N.Y. Watson serves as immediate past president.
