The foundation raises funds to help grant the wishes of children suffering from life-threatening medical conditions. In Luxaire's first three-year partnership, the company helped to raise more than $1 million for the foundation.
As a corporate sponsor, the company donates a portion of Luxaire products sold toward the company's minimum annual contribution of $250,000. In addition, dollars raised by the company's combined sales efforts support local Make-A-Wish chapters in dealer markets. Luxaire encourages homeowners to participate in the program by offering the opportunity to donate all or a portion of their rebates during the spring and fall promotions to their local Make-A-Wish chapter.
"Our affiliation with the Make-A-Wish Foundation differentiates Luxaire in the market," said Tim Lashar, Luxaire brand marketing manager. "The partnership aligns our performance promise with an outstanding national cause that brings joy to children in our local communities and invites Luxaire distributors, dealers and customers anywhere in the nation to get involved."
Luxaire distributors and dealers have participated in fund-raisers, including the Luxaire-sponsored Make-A-Wish nights at minor-league ballparks. These special game sponsorships provide Luxaire dealers with opportunities for on-field fund-raising and pre-game ceremonies recognizing the Make-A-Wish Foundation.
"The association with minor-league baseball complements our partnership with Make-A-Wish," said Lashar. "Distributors and dealers alike are finding creative ways to raise money for children and their communities, and at the same time, tie into the success of minor-league baseball and the exposure it provides."
