HRAI recognizes industry leaders
KELOWNA, British Columbia -The Heating, Refrigeration and Air Conditioning Institute of Canada recognized several individuals and organizations for their contributions to the HVACR industry during the Aug. 21 HRAI Annual Awards Luncheon.
Bill Barnett of Boutette & Barnett Trade Distribution Centre was presented with the Merit Award. According to HRAI, the award recognizes individuals who have made an "outstanding contribution to the development and progress of HRAI and the Canadian HVACR industry."
The Life Member Award, which recognizes an individual who has contributed service to the industry for more than 20 years, was given to Leslie Wardlaw of York International Ltd. HRAC of Waterloo was presented with the President's Recognition Award for its contributions to HRAI.
The Education Leader Award went to Honeywell for its support of educational activities. Education Supporter awards were presented to Sue Cates of Nutech, Honeywell employees Angela E. Scott, Barbara Thornton, J.R. Wyatt and Patricia Teeples. Companies presented with the distinction included Brands Inc., City of Thunder Bay's Planning & Building Department, Kerr Controls Ltd., Manitoba Hydro, Ontario First Nations Technical Services Corp., Sears Indoor Clean Air Services and The Air Conditioning, Heating & Refrigeration News, a sister publication of SNIPS.
