The National Roofing Foundation (NRF) is looking for entries for its Most Valuable Player Awards Program.

The program is designed to honor one outstanding roofing worker from each of 10 regions — New England, Mid-Atlantic, South Atlantic, East South Central, West South Central, East North Central, West North Central, Mountain, Pacific and noncontinental.

The award will recognize excellence in the roofing industry and allow recipients to serve as role models to other workers, as well as increase professionalism and draw more workers into the roofing industry, according to the National Roofing Contractors Association (NRCA). NRF is a separate but related educational and research organization.

Up to three employees per NRCA member branch may be nominated for the MVP awards. Nominees must hold positions no higher than foreman and can be nominated in the following categories: outstanding on-the-job performance; attracting new roofing workers and helping retain existing workers; contributions to a team effort; community service and volunteerism; and other noteworthy contributions and activities.

Award recipients will receive a one-night, two-day, all-expenses-paid-trip to NRCA’s 115th annual convention and exhibition in San Antonio, Texas Feb. 10-13.

Nominations must be postmarked by Nov. 15. For more information contact Chris Seidel at 847-299-9070, ext. 264; e-mail: cseidel@nrca. net or visit www.nrca.net.
