NORMAN, Okla. - York International Corp.'s Unitary Products Group will be part of a new "reality" TV show from Fox Broadcasting Co. York will provide heating and cooling products and installation assistance for seven homes that will be overhauled during the first season of "Renovate My Family."

York will receive promotion consideration for the use of its products, said Marisa Hawk, product-placement consultant for Rocket Science Laboratories, show producer.

"Our contract with York specifies some amount of in-show recognition, which can be a visual of the product, a visual of the logo or a verbal mention or description," Hawk said. "In addition, all vendors receive end credit and are listed by name, phone number, Web link and description on our Web site for each episode in which they provide a product."

The television series visits struggling families and with the help of a panel of experts, overhauls their lives, including their homes.

In a recent episode, an Atlanta-area home was renovated after a fire destroyed it. York distributor Climatic Comfort Products in Norcross, Ga., was contacted to take part in the episode. The company brought in Henson Mechanical to help install heating and cooling for the 3,400-square-foot structure.
