The Air Conditioning Contractors of America honored its members at the association's 36th annual conference.

ARLINGTON, Va. - A.J. Warren Service Co. of Houston, Texas, has won the 2004 Award for Excellence in Residential Contracting for revenues under $1 million from the Air Conditioning Contractors of America.

Air Assurance Co. of Broken Arrow, Okla., won the 2004 Award for Excellence in Residential Contracting for revenues of more than $1 million.

The residential awards were presented during ACCA's 36th annual conference in New Orleans.

Other finalists were: Airco Service Inc., Tulsa, Okla.; AirRite Air Conditioning Co. Inc., Fort Worth, Texas; Albemarle Heating and Air Inc., Charlottesville, Va.; Atlas Butler Heating & Cooling, Columbus, Ohio; Great Dane Heating & Air Conditioning, Clinton Township, Mich.; Jackson and Sons, Dudley, N.C.; McAfee Heating & Air Conditioning Co., Kettering, Ohio; Newcomb & Company, Raleigh, N.C.; and Peaden Air Conditioning, Panama City, Fla.

In the commercial contracting category, J&J Air Conditioning of San Jose, Calif., was the winner. The $7 million company has more than 40 employees

The other commercial finalist was CHC Mechanical Contractors of Cookeville, Tenn.
