Nordfab expands facility, capacity

Company adds 30,000 square feet of production space.

THOMASVILLE, N.C. - Nordfab, a producer of clamp-together ducts for dust, mist and fume collection, plans to almost double its plant production space.

The Thomasville, N.C.-based company will increase its facility from 38,000 to 68,000 square feet, doubling the company's capacity to produce Quick-Fit ducting.

"We've concentrated on dealer service and expanded beyond our woodworking base into several new industries over the past few years," said Tom Ballus, Nordfab's national sales manager. "These efforts have begun to pay off with growth of more than 20 percent in each of the past two years. And we know that once we reach critical mass in an industry, the pace of growth accelerates, so we're already planning the next expansion."

Construction on the latest addition is now under way and scheduled for completion in early 2006.
