MorePONOMA, Calif. - Fifty of the top-selling York Liberties dealers in California took part in a two-day dealer "boot camp" hosted by Air Cold Supply, the York Unitary Products Group Distributor of the Year for 2003.
The boot camp focused on best business practices, as well as York's online business tools, including Ad Planner, Build-A-Brochure, Net.Prophet and Business Analyzer. Dealers were also introduced to the company's new Affinity line of residential heating and cooling products.
In addition, Richard Harshaw, president of Lodestar Systems, presented "Throughput - How to Boost Productivity and Increase Profits."
" ‘Throughput' is a series of measurements about how much production a company does per employee in various areas," explained Harshaw. "It's a very convenient way to analyze a business and its procedures in an effort to improve the bottom line. Our goal at the boot camp was to help dealers focus on what's really going on behind the scenes and figure out how to make improvements and ultimately, more money."
