ALCO-NVC celebrates 90 years in business

ALCO-NVC, Inc., originally National Varnish Co., Inc., Detroit, celebrates its 90th anniversary this year. The company's founder, C.W. Bair, made varnishes and asphalt paints for the auto industry. Since that time, the complexion of the company has changed through the years, moving into roof coatings and cements.

In its 100,000-sq.-ft. manufacturing plant, the company produces roof coatings, cements, SBS adhesives, aluminum coatings, below grade damp proofings, concrete sealers, expansion joints and our newest addition, ALCO SHIELD Ice and Water Protector.
