Speedtown Comfort Heating and Cooling installed a York-brand HVAC system donated by Johnson Controls into home of Army Sgt. 1st Class Gary Pearson.

A welcome-home ceremony was held at Pearson’s Avon, Indiana,  home, where Speedtown joined other local contractors, community members and representatives from Building Homes for Heroes, a nonprofit organization that builds and renovates mortgage-free homes for severely injured veterans.

“The support of companies like Johnson Controls and its high-quality York heating equipment contractors like Speedtown Comfort Heating and Cooling enable our organization to reach more injured veterans in need and help them begin to rebuild their lives,” said Chad Gottlieb, director of construction development at Building Homes for Heroes.

Tony Wilson, vice president of Speedtown Comfort Heating and Cooling, said the company was overjoyed when they were asked to do the installation.

“When we got the call, there was no hesitation to help one of our brave veterans who give us the freedom to live in a great country,” Wilson said.
