Carl Huber, vice president of corporate quality and sustainability at WaterFurnace International Inc., received a Distinguished Service Award from ASHRAE during the society’s annual conference in St. Louis.

The award honors members who have served the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning Engineers “faithfully and with distinction, and who have given freely of their time and talent,” officials say.

Huber has been a member of the society for more than 30 years and currently serves on the board of governors for the Fort Wayne, Indiana, ASHRAE chapter. He was chairman of the applied heat pumps and heat recovery systems technical committee and the research administration committee. He’s also served as program chairman of the green HVAC geothermal utilization technical committee.

“This award is definitely the highlight of my years as an ASHRAE member and the culmination of the various positions in which I’ve served the organization,” Huber said. “My interaction with ASHRAE members has provided me with tremendous knowledge, friendships and memories over the years. I’m very honored to have represented my company in this manner and thankful for all the support provided to me.”

Huber has 37 years of experience in the water source heat pumps and heat transfer industry, and 35 years of experience in the design, development and support of HVAC market products.
