Armacell now offers new sizes for its flexible AP Armaflex pipe insulation. The new sizes start at 8-inch inside diameter tubes by 1-inch wall and go up to 10-inch inside diameter tubes by 2-inch wall. Officials say the new sizes answer the demand for larger tubes and eliminate the need to piece sheet or roll material around 8- and 10-inch piping. The closed-cell structure doesn’t require additional water-vapor retarder and won’t wick moisture. The tubes’ fiber-free foam is resistant to punctures and won’t crack or flake over time, officials add.
