ASHRAE’s 2016 winter meeting may be over a year away, but the society is already seeking HVAC market white papers to present at the event.

The society is seeking abstracts in five HVAC construction categories: design-build, cutting-edge technologies, modern residential systems, international design and “the great debate.”

"The 2016 ASHRAE winter conference will have a fresh feel with new tracks focused on design-build practices and residential systems,” said Jennifer Leach, conference chairwoman for the American Society of Heating, Refrigeration and Air-Conditioning Engineers. “We’ll continue our emphasis on energy efficiency and sustainability while addressing current engineering and construction practices outside of the U.S. and Canada.  We’re also taking one of the most attended conference program styles and making an entire track out of debates.  I think we’ll be offering our attendees some great programs that align well with current trends in HVAC and R engineering.

Topics such as zero energy building, green HVAC and other issue related to HVAC sales products are expected to be discussed during the Jan. 23-27, 2016, annual event, which will overlap with the AHR Expo the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Fla.

Conference paper abstracts are due March 23, with final papers for accepted topics due July 6. Full technical papers are due April 20. Details are at www.ashrae.org/orlando
