Tjernlund Products Inc. says its AireShare ventilation system was designed to distribute heated or cooled air for greater comfort and energy savings. The system’s transfer fans—which allow air to flow horizontally through walls from room to room or vertically from level to level—use existing heating or cooling equipment present throughout the home. Heated or cooled air is pulled from fireplaces, stoves, electric baseboards and air-conditioning units, providing homeowners with a more cost-effective means of circulation. Installation of AireShare transfer fans requires cutouts for the blower and diffuser as well as electrical connection. Transfer fans can be thermostatically controlled to maintain desired room temperature.
