More than 35,000 architects, contractors, building owners, students and sustainable construction advocates are expected to attend the Nov. 14-16 event at the city’s Moscone Center.

We are thrilled to bring the energy of Greenbuild to San Francisco, home to some of the world's leading minds in both sustainability and technology," said Kimberly Lewis, show sponsor the U.S. Green Building Council’s senior vice president for conferences and community advancement. "Greenbuild is the nexus of the sustainability movement where we celebrate collective successes, share our knowledge with one another, and challenge the status quo. This year, Greenbuild is raising the bar higher than ever."

Among those scheduled to speak at the conference are journalists Thomas Friedman and Cokie Roberts, retired U.S. Army general and former Secretary of State Colin Powell, former Vice President Al Gore and President Bill Clinton.

Recently added to the lineup were MSNBC “Morning Joe” co-hosts Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough, and Twitter Inc. co-founder Biz Stone.

"Sustainability is everywhere, and no longer is it an option for companies and individuals to ignore their footprints," Stone said. "Collectively, we can make a profound social and environmental impact. I look forward to the ensuing discussion among the innovative crowd at Greenbuild."
