Onset has made some new enhancements to its Hobo
U30 Web-based energy and environmental monitoring systems. The systems now have
expanded cellular phone network coverage. Company officials report that the
system uses a new, low-cost global cellular network plan through Wyless. Hobo
U30/GSM system customers can now use their monitoring systems in over 30
international countries. With a new customizable display, customers can also
configure data display settings within Hobolink, Onset’s Web-enabled software
platform for Hobo U30 systems. Finally, the system’s weatherproof enclosure is
now constructed of materials derived from 85 percent post-consumer plastic
waste.
