Malco’s Max2000 aviation snips series now feature new molded thermoplastic grips. According to the manufacturer, the solid color-coded grips are permanently fitted over full-length steel handle shafts and offer strength and comfort. A narrower grip opening has been designed to accommodate large or small hands to maximize the leverage of compound handle-to-head linkage. A new one-hand-operation, ambidextrous latch is another handle option for all Max2000 snips and features an all-metal design that will not loosen or hang up with repetitive use, officials say.
