Hypertherm unveiled a new CNC machine which the company says is compatible with nearly any mechanized system. The Edge Pro does not require any sort of intermediary device to run and supports both oxyfuel and conventional plasma cutting systems. The hardware and software include both analog and Sercos motion-control connections, a touch-screen display and an integrated operator console. The Edge Pro also comes pre-installed with Hypertherm’s Phoenix software, including the patent-pending CutPro Wizard, designed to simplify learning and operation of the entire cutting system.
