The Remedial In-Room Decontamination System is a mobile decontamination unit using ultraviolet light technology. The unit provides a way to clean surfaces infected with mold, viruses and bacteria. Users wheel the unit into the infected area, leave the room and turn on the system remotely, allowing the UVC Emitters to decontaminate walls, tabletops and other surfaces. A 12-foot by 12-foot area can typically be decontaminated in approximately 24 hours, according to the company. Applications include residential and commercial surface-mold remediation, food preparation and processing areas, surface decontamination in hospitals and health care facilities, and surface treatment in DNA laboratories.
