The new Affinity modulating gas furnace maintains a constant temperature, while delivering quieter operation and reduced energy costs, according to the company. With 95 percent Annual Fuel Utilization Efficiency, the furnace also exceeds minimum efficiency standards established by the U.S. Department of Energy. The manufacturer reports that by varying the gas input and the circulating airflow to closely match the amount of heat needed at any given time, the furnace is able to minimize sound levels and deliver maximum performance. The furnace is available in both a constant-speed blower and a variable-speed blower and is supported in upflow, downflow and horizontal positions.
