This new line of flap disks for grinding and finishing metal are made with high performance zirconia grain. According to the company, the disks provide longer life than standard zirconia and aluminum oxide disks, and grind cooler and last up to 15 percent longer than fiber disks. The disks are available in flat and conical designs, and are available in 4 1/2-inch, 5-inch and 7-inch sizes. The company also reports that that the flap disks provide versatility in grinding, eliminating the need for the use of a grinding wheel followed by a fiber disk for finishing, saving time and money.
