These F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft will use Palmer Instruments thermostats as part of new modifications to the jets.
Thermostats from Palmer Instruments will take to the sky as part of a new contract with Lockheed Martin.

The company received a contract for a special thermometer for the F-16 Fighting Falcon aircraft built by Lockheed Martin. Palmer Instrument officials said that this major contract will create several new jobs at the Palmer Wahl facility in Woodfin, N.C.

Palmer has been a supplier to the military since World War I, supplying temperature-measuring products for submarines, ships, airplanes, helicopters, jets and satellites. The current contract is a result of retooling the F-16 with modified product specifications more suitable for the need for increased temperature demands.
