LEWISBURG, Tenn. — International Comfort Products has made changes to its residential warranty on some Heil, Tempstar, Comfortmaker, Arcoaire and KeepRite products installed on or after Jan. 1.

The changes include an increase in the compressor warranty on entry-level 12 seasonal energy-efficiency ratio split air conditioners and heat pumps from five to 10 years, and increasing the heat exchanger warranty on main 12 SEER package gas/electric models from 10 to 25 years.

The company has also added a one-year labor bonus and a no-hassle replacement warranty on some products, it announced. If the heat exchanger or the compressor fails within five years from the installation date, ICP will provide a replacement outdoor unit at no charge. Consumers will be advised that some installation charges may still apply.

To meet eligibility requirements, products must be residential installed on or after Jan. 1. Eligible products are 12 SEER and 14 SEER main line air conditioners and heat pumps installed with matching air handlers or coils, and 12 SEER main line gas/electric, air conditioner or heat pump package units.
