Plumbing and supply distributor Ferguson has contributed $10,000 to support the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors Educational Foundation.

The money will go toward the association’s “Invest In Your Future” annual giving campaign.

This is the fifth consecutive year that Ferguson has made a major gift to the foundation’s annual fund-raising campaign.

“We are extremely grateful to our friends at Ferguson for maintaining their strong commitment to supporting contractor education,” said foundation chairman Bill Jones. “We know that the contractors who have prepared themselves through training and education are the ones who will survive this ride through uncertain times, and Ferguson is helping to make that training possible.”

Ferguson has been a major supporter of the PHCC Educational Foundation for nearly 20 years. Combined past and present contributions from Ferguson now total more than $175,000 in support of industry education.

The fund-raising goal for 2009 was $145,000. A portion of the proceeds also supports the PHCC national auxiliary scholarship program. InSinkErator provides matching contributions for the fund-raiser.
