The International Association of Plumbing and Mechanical Officials has joined the Green Mechanical Council as a charter member.

It adds to several other organizations, manufacturers and educational institutions in supporting the council.
The Green Mechanical Council has several goals, including providing specialized focus in structural mechanical systems such as plumbing, HVACR, electrical and related systems. The association also aims to increase public awareness of energy-efficient systems.
