Blackman Plumbing Supply has purchased Ridgewood, N.J.-based Ridgewood Corp. Both companies are distributors of plumbing, heating and cooling equipment.

“The acquisition of Ridgewood will allow Blackman to effectively expand our operations throughout New Jersey, from the suburbs of Philadelphia to the lower Hudson Valley in New York State,” said Robert Mannheimer, Blackman’s president and CEO. “We’re very excited to offer trade professionals and consumers in these areas the same level of excellence in product inventory, service and sales support as we’ve been providing throughout the Metropolitan New York City area for 90 years.”

With the acquisition, Blackman branches can now be found in several locations throughout New York, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. The company’s general offices are located in Bayport, N.Y.
