Conditioned Air Corp. of Naples, Fla., was named the residential winner of the ACCA’s 2010 Contractors of the Year program. The winner was announced March 7 at the opening general session of the ACCA's 42nd Annual Conference and Indoor Air Expo held in Tampa, Fla.

”This year’s Contractors of the Year program finalists were all notable contracting businesses with unique approaches to serving their customers, and we are pleased to recognize Conditioned Air as the winner,” said Paul T. Stalknecht,  president and CEO of the Air Conditioning Contractors of America. “Conditioned Air transcends the HVACR industry and functions as a true business with a disciplined approach to decision making and company-wide buy-in to its value proposition.”

Led by Theo Etzel, CEO and president, and his management team, Conditioned Air has grown its annual revenue by about $15 million since he took the reins in 1995. According to the ACCA, disciplined decision making and open-book management, has helped Conditioned Air to swiftly adjust to changing market conditions.

Other finalists this year for the residential Contractor of the Year award included A Good Neighbor Heating & Cooling of Middlebury, Ind.; and Service Legends of Des Moines, Iowa. The commercial Contractor of the Year winner will be announced on Tuesday, March 9.
