The end of paperbacks?

Driving to work this morning, I heard a radio report on
National Public Radio about some paperback publishers that are cutting back on
the print runs of some titles in favor of digital versions that can be read in
devices such Kindles and other e-book devices.
I’m not sure how many people are going too swap out the
cheap paperback they take to a sandy beach for a device that will cost them more
than $100, but clearly there is a demand for such content.
It reminded me of the many ways we offer Snips today, from
online web versions to interactive digital editions to the trusty, old printed
magazine.
This is an exciting, and admittedly sometimes a bit scary
time to be in publishing. But rest assured that we will continue to bring you
Snips in all the formats our readers request.
